Open studio and art routes

Non less than 71 artists participate this year in Art, Pebbles and Clay.  They invite you from August 29th/ 30th – September 5th /6th from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. to their studio and art galleries marked with a red and yellow wooden flag. The 2009 edition guarantees two weekends full of artistic and cultural variety in the Bommelerwaard. An wide range of art forms will be on exhibit:: sculptures, paintings, graphic art, colourful ceramics, photography but also icons, children’s bedroom special art and outsider art, jewellery and hand-woven textiles. Too much to see in just one day.

The Art, Pebbles and Clay 2009 brochure can be obtained during the route in all 73 studio and art galleries. Town halls, tourist offices and other public places such as Grand Cafe Verdraagzaamheid, the Stadscafe and waiting rooms of GP’s and dentists, will have the brochure on display shortly before the event starts.

Overview exhibitions

The Ammersoyen Castle offers a preview to Art, Pebbles and Clay from the 18th fo August – the13th September with a overview exhibition.  The exit Zaltbommel on the A2 motorway runs into the N322 that leads to the N832 in the direction of Ammerzoden. This brings you to the beautiful Ammersoyen Castle. By showing one art object of every participating the exhibition give the opportunity t plan your art route. Admission is free and the flyers are on display. In the weekends of the Art Route the town castle of Zaltbommel offers a second digital exhibition showing the work of artist from the surrounding villages. Also free admission.
